This Ice Cream flavour was discovered in the 1780s by Thomas Jefferson. He was the American Statesman who served as the third President of the USA. He returned from America to Paris with a handwritten recipe of the French Vanilla Icecream.

Today, many brands deal in this flavour like Breyers Natural Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and Haagen Dazs Vanilla Ice cream.

Fun Fact! Vanilla can only be found in latitudes between 10 and 20 degrees, north and south of the equator, making it nearly impossible to locate. At present, 75% of Vanilla available in the marketplace is from Madagascar. 

One might think that the formation of this ice cream requires a different type of Vanilla. Actually, it requires a specific method consisting of egg yolks and flecks of Vanilla Beans.
