But before that, let’s know what does the term Diet means?


A diet is a course of food to which a person restricts, either to lose weight, gain weight, or for medical reasons.


Nine most popular diets that are rated, and is followed by the experts throughout the world are, Atkins, Zone, Ketogenic, Vegetarian, Vegan diet, Weight Watchers, South Beach, GM diet, and Raw Food.


Common characteristics of these diets are that all of them control your insulin levels, they are low carbs, these diets are good for heart-patients, and all of them reduce the risk of cancer. All these diets are good for weight loss.

Now, let’s know about all these nine types of diets one by one, in one line.

1. Atkins:

A four-phase low carb diet promoted by DR. ROBERT C. It is usually practiced for weight loss while eating as much protein as you want.

 


2. Zone:

It consists of carbs, protein, and fat, all in an appropriate proportion, and was developed decades ago by DR. Barry Sears.

 


3. Ketogenic:

Nutrients are rich in low carb and high-fat diet that usually benefits against diabetes, cancer, epilepsy disease.


 

4. Vegetarian:

An ethical diet followed by an 18% global population, this diet abstains from eating meat, fish, and poultry, but it doesn’t stop you from eating eggs and dairy products.


 

5. Vegan:

This one restricts the intake of plant products, which helps to improve the blood sugar level.


 

6. South Beach:

DR. Arthur and Marie almond introduced this lower-carb diet for rapid weight loss without hunger. It reduces the risk of heart diseases as well.


 

7. G.M. Diet:

General motor, a vehicle company, made a 7-day diet plan for its employees, to help them lose weight.


 

8. Raw Food:

As the title itself suggests, this diet plan helps the dieter lose weight and improvise vitality.

9. Weight Watcher:

 Another most popular diet rated 3.92 out of 5 is a slow and steady weight loss technique through dietary and lifestyle changes.
